Gas Safe - what is it and why is it important

If you are one of the many millions of households in the UK with a mains gas connection, you should already be aware of the Gas Safe register. Gas Safe is an industry standard that helps keep you safe in your home. By law, every gas engineer working in the UK needs to be actively registered on the Gas Safe register in order to work on gas, oil and LPG appliances. Gas Safe replaced CORGI registration and is there for your protection, so use it and be safe.

When upgrading your gas system to a renewable energy solution, you can rest assured that Pure Green Energy have trained Gas Safe engineers who can safely remove and dispose of your old equipment.

In accordance with the MCS guidelines and manufacturers recommendations, for warranty purposes, it is advisable that your renewable energy technology is inspected at least once a year.  This is to ensure the system is running safely and efficiently.

Poorly maintained systems are more prone to develop faults, so it’s best to keep on top of this and prevent any issues arising. We can offer annual service inspection for the following technologies:

  • Solar PV
  • Solar Thermal
  • Ground Source Heat Pumps
  • Air Source Heat Pumps

solar panel cleaning

It goes without saying that an accumulation of dust, leaves, grime, and bird droppings on top of your solar panels will reduce their ability to produce solar energy.

Depending on where you live, you may need to clean your solar panels more regularly. The most likely areas where solar panels can suffer are those that are near major roads or where there are plenty of trees.

Your energy efficiency can potentially decrease by up to 15% as a result of unclean panels. But the good news is, you can make sure your solar panels are constantly producing the cleanest and greenest energy by having them professionally cleaned once a year.

Why use Pure Green?

As trained professionals, we have an acute awareness of the safety precautions necessary to clean your solar panels. Improper cleaning of the solar panels might result in electrical damage. It's absolutely critical to use the right solar panel cleaning tools and to safeguard your solar panels.

On a technical level, we possess top-of-the-range equipment perfect for cleaning. All of our specialist solar panel cleaning brushes and equipment are specifically designed to clean solar panels.

Prices from £15 per panel.
