Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps could significantly reduce heating costs and increase your organisation’s green credentials.

Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) use pipes which are buried in the ground to extract heat. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor or warm air heating systems and hot water. The ground stays at a steady temperature under the surface, so the heat pump can be used throughout the year.

The length of the ground loop depends on the size of your building and the amount of heat you need. Longer loops can draw more heat from the ground, but need more space to be buried in. Our expert team will be able to advise you.

A heat pump can save you up to 50% on your heating bills – and, with the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), you can get the cost of the investment back in no time at all.

The RHI for heat pumps is incredibly generous – but it’s expected to change. Don’t delay. Get your heat pump while it’s hot, for these generous payments will reduce very soon.
