Biomass System

The manor is situated at the western end of the Isle of Wight with imposing views over the Solent. The site is now being developed as an Eco centre for holiday visitors so a biomass boiler was entirely appropriate.

A Herz 199kW boiler with its ancillary cylinder and pipework was installed in a custom-built wooden framed building. The system runs on pellets but is able to be converted to wood chip depending on adequate supplies.

The boilers not only supply heat and hot water to the Manor house and five cottages but also the new barn based Eco centre.
