This imposing detached Victorian Lodge House comes with extensive landscaped grounds. When the homeowner decided to move away from fossil fuels, and with the land available, a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) was the obvious choice.
We calculated that 3 sets of 50m lengths of coiled pipework (slinkies) buried in the adjacent land in trenches would meet the needs of the property. We combined this with a 305L hot water cylinder for the main house as well as 15 new radiators.
The Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) not only saves on fuel costs, but also gives the property increased green credentials and, with the benefit of the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), calculations estimate a total system benefit (over 7 years) of £26,276! That more than covers the cost of the system – and this only within 7 years!
