Domestic renewable energy solutions

The domestic arena has many opportunities for the installation of renewable technologies for both new builds and refurbished properties.

They include:

  • Solar photovoltaic panels and systems for the generation of electricity
  • Solar thermal panels and systems for the production of hot water
  • Ground source heat pumps for heating and domestic hot water. Considerable ground space may be required for this technology
  • Air source heat pumps are ideal for modern, well insulated properties
  • Domestic biomass. This technology is normally confined to wood pellet fed systems which can have automatic feeding systems

All the above systems qualify for either the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) or the Feed in Tariff (FIT) which are backed by the government.

Pure Green also supply a complete range of log burning stoves which can be used for heating and hot water but do not attract government funding.

Rainwater harvesting systems can also be installed by Pure Green with the ability to use rainwater to flush toilets and for use in washing machines. Again there is no government subsidy for this.

On the domestic front Pure Green are able to carry out full plumbing and electrical installations and repairs to properties using in-house technicians. This includes underfloor and wall heating as well as conventional radiators.
